Hey, great news! A Kickstarter will be a nice way to fund this book.
However, I believe you should include some lower-price perks… maybe just for the PDF, or just to include the name in the “Thanks” session, or to get an illustration from the book.
A couple comments:
1) A minor quibble about how you’ve presented things: You mention that the perks are cumulative, but some of the jumps aren’t so clear: For $75 do I really get 3 books (1 hard cover, and 2 soft covers)? Obviously I don’t based on what’s written for the $75 entry but it’s not exactly clear based on the earlier text.
2) I’d agree with the idea of having a lower buy in for a PDF version, and even a $1 “donation.”
3) In your pitch video, I’d stress what kinds of games you could use it since because your name is associated with Pelgrane which might make people think it’s strictly for ToC – obviously there’s a much bigger CoC market out there.
4) Are you limiting the number of upper echelon options? I think making them a limited resource (i.e., the principle of scarcity) is more likely to net you someone willing to actually throw that much money in to the pot.
4) $1200 seems really steep and also an odd #. I’d be more tempted to go with $1000 since it seems like a nice, round figure.
All sounds great, and I’m wishing it was ‘bonus time’ at work so I could put down the money for one of the bigger kickers. Keep up the great work (really loving Cthulhu Dark).

I think the 350$+ things are … a bit over the top. But maybe I’m just conservative.
Not at all. Fair point. Thanks!

I agree with João. Getting some original artwork (or high-quality print if they’re digital) would be great.

Thanks Mike. Good catch on the game, especially: I should say it’s for any gaming system.
Postcards. I’ll do postcards of the artwork. Thanks!
